iSend Named to the Marcum Tech Top 40 by the Connecticut Technology Council

iSend Listed on Tech Top 40 in Media/Internet/Telecom Category for the Third Year in a Row

MIDDLEBURY, Conn., Aug. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- iSend has been named to the Marcum Tech Top 40, an annual compilation of the 40 fastest growing technology companies in Connecticut as determined by The Connecticut Technology Council (CTC) and Marcum LLP. Selection was based on growth of at least $3 million in annual revenue as well growth in each of the preceding four years.

This is the third consecutive year iSend has made the Marcum Tech Top 40. iSend was named Connecticut's fastest growing technology company overall in 2012, and in 2013 was named the top company in the New Media/Internet/Telecom category. iSend will be honored alongside 39 other Tech Top 40 companies at an awards ceremony October 2 at the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford. One company from each of the six industry verticals will be named overall winner for demonstrating the greatest percentage growth in revenue across all the technology verticals.

"We are honored to be listed for the third consecutive year on the Tech Top 40," said Steve LaBella, iSend president and CEO. "Connecticut is an exceptional state for business, as evidenced by the many outstanding companies that make the list each year."

This year's Marcum Tech Top 40 identified the fastest growing Connecticut companies in the categories of Advanced Manufacturing, Energy/Environment/Green Technology, IT Services, Life Sciences, New Media/Internet/Telecom and Software.

"Technology companies have a set of shared challenges that range from capital-raising and complex revenue reporting to intellectual property management and international expansion. Whether they are private enterprises or Fortune 500 companies, this year's Marcum Tech Top 40 winners all demonstrate management excellence and market foresight," said Alex Discepolo, a Tax Partner in Marcum's New Haven office and Practice Leader of the Firm's High Technology Services Group.
